Maximising Gross Profit Potential

The Client

Europe’s first Resorts World features Britain’s biggest casino, the West Midlands’ first large-scale outlet destination, 18 bars and restaurants, a spa, cinema with purpose-built IMAX screen, and four star hotel – with five star suites.

The Opportunity

Resort World required a costing model for their bars and restaurants for budgeting and pricing analysis prior to opening in late 2015.

What we did

Moneypennys designed a complex costing model for use by Resort World Senior Team.

The model incorporated all the bars and restaurants controlled by Resort World and forced an outturn of GP across the whole site given all the different pricing models and possible discounts / loyalty schemes in operation.

The model supported managers to revise their pricing strategy and analyse the impact of changes in sales mix on their gross profit.
